Hi Fellow Bloggers, Today is my first day in school with gravity defying hair! the attention was totally on me! What a weird feeling to have everyone go, "Ivan, what have u done to your hair?" Well, i just explained to them that my head exploded... I would like to give special mention to XinLing, Kenneth, Cousins and friends for actually persuading me into spiking my hair... Just a few weeks ago i would never have done it... During morning assembly when it was time for attendence taking, i could see the astonishment on my form teacher's face... A week ago she told me to trim my fringe, bet she never saw this coming! During reccess, heads turned as i walked down the band table... Fellow bandsmen grasped in shock while others gave the "Oh my gosh" look... After school it was my junior's turn to have a fair share of my new hairstyle... Overall everything wasn't too bad... Louis's and Nicholas Soh's hair were still worse as the got caught for having long hair and were sent to the barber from hell... Now i'm at Kenneth's house with Jeremy watching Mulan while blogging... Not to forget about the sing along session of "Phantom of The Opera"... Common tests are this week and you hard working people out there must be studying your butts off while I'm struggling to keep up with the chapters while trying to find an easy way to vibrato... Oh well, the least i can do is to wish you guys good luck...
Clarinet Tip #02:Provide a Good Model. Your clarinet section will never develop a good sound unless they listen to good players. Bring in professional players to work with your section to provide a role model. Encourage private lessons. Play recordings of excellent players on a regular basis. Require assigned listening on the instrument. Equally important to remember: students only give you what you expect out of them.
